Responsibilities
- Lead the design of end-to-end industrial data solutions, including data models, integration patterns, system architectures, and cloud and edge data ingestion strategies.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and present architectural concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Lead client-facing project implementations and guide development teams through implementation phases.
- Oversee data ingestion, contextualization, visualization workflows, ingestion pipelines, APIs, and integration services.
- Establish development standards, CI/CD practices, code quality expectations, quality assurance, and compliance with best practices.
- Serve as the primary technical advisor for clients adopting industrial data solutions.
- Mentor junior architects, developers, and engineers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Stay current with industrial data platforms and industry trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Typically 6–10 years of related experience working for a systems integrator or consulting organization.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
- Strong understanding of and practical experience implementing industrial data systems, including historians, SCADA, PLCs, MES, and ERP.
- Experience leading technical teams and managing client-facing delivery.
- 5+ years of experience in solution architecture, data engineering, or software development.
- Hands-on experience with Cognite Data Fusion, FactoryTalk Data Mosaix, PTC ThingWorx, or similar industrial data platforms.
- Proficiency with cloud technologies, APIs, and data modeling.
- Experience with Python, SQL, and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with time-series data, contextualization techniques, machine learning model development, MLOps practices, data governance, access management, and industrial cybersecurity.
- Knowledge of industrial domains such as mining, oil and gas, manufacturing, or energy.
- Experience with asset performance management, production monitoring, or advanced process control.
- Cloud and industrial data platform certifications and prior consulting or systems integrator experience are preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with executive and technical stakeholders.
