Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and apply machine learning and AI algorithms for defense applications.
- Design, optimize, and evaluate machine learning and AI models for data analysis, pattern recognition, and predictive modeling.
- Preprocess and analyze large datasets with data scientists to create high-quality training data.
- Develop scalable software solutions that integrate machine learning and AI algorithms into existing systems and workflows.
- Conduct experiments to evaluate and refine model reliability and accuracy.
- Participate in requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, documentation, and other software development lifecycle activities.
- Monitor advances in machine learning and AI technologies and apply relevant best practices.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Requirements
- Current Secret clearance and ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of software engineering experience focused on machine learning/AI and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++ and experience with machine learning/AI libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
- Strong understanding of machine learning and AI algorithms, statistical analysis, and data mining techniques.
- Experience with data management tools and frameworks.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, version control systems such as Git, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience deploying machine learning and AI models in cloud environments.
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications include current TS/SCI clearance, defense or government contracting experience, cybersecurity knowledge, familiarity with LangGraph, OpenAI SDK, MCP, A2A, HuggingFace Transformers, ollama, LM Studio, or llama.cpp, and experience running language models locally.
