Responsibilities
- Own and improve platform security across cloud infrastructure, applications, and data.
- Threat-model new systems and features and partner with engineering to build security in from the start.
- Drive detection, investigation, and response for security events.
- Harden AWS or GCP cloud infrastructure and implement secure configuration through infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code.
- Assess and help secure AI/ML systems and the sensitive data flowing through them.
- Partner with engineering and IT to remediate vulnerabilities and improve the company-wide security posture.
Requirements
- Strong experience in security engineering, ideally securing modern cloud-native platforms.
- Hands-on cloud security experience with AWS or GCP, including infrastructure hardening and secure configuration.
- Experience with threat modeling, vulnerability management, and detection and incident response.
- Proficiency in a scripting or programming language used to build security tooling and automation.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code for security enforcement.
- Exposure to securing AI/ML systems, data pipelines, or LLM-powered features.
- Experience with application security and secure SDLC practices.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to partner with engineering to build security into systems.
