Sr Software Engineer -Platform Services (MySQL)
Mercado LibreResponsibilities
- Administer, optimize, and support MySQL databases.
- Research and evaluate MySQL Database features and implement architectural improvements.
- Automate administrative tasks using Shell, Python, and AI-enabled approaches.
- Maintain and support databases in AWS and GCP multi-cloud environments.
- Configure high-availability solutions including AWS Aurora MySQL and Binlog replication Master Slave.
- Monitor applications and lead technical initiatives of medium complexity.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on integrations and complex technical architectures.
- Develop programmatic solutions to automate operations and expose functionality through APIs.
Requirements
- Solid experience administering and optimizing MySQL database services.
- Advanced SQL knowledge and familiarity with AWS or GCP cloud platforms.
- Experience monitoring applications and technically leading medium-complexity initiatives.
- Ability to develop programmatic automation solutions using scripting languages such as Shell or Python.
- Experience working with APIs and database high-availability or replication solutions.
