Base Salary

$93k - $204k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop proactive monitoring, alerting, and dashboarding strategies for retail and pharmacy platforms.
  • Define and improve SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, and error budgets for critical services.
  • Lead major incident response, recovery, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
  • Drive automation, resiliency, performance tuning, capacity planning, and operational toil reduction.
  • Support Kubernetes, OpenShift, containerized workloads, cloud-native services, and microservices across hybrid cloud environments.
  • Validate deployments, support production operations, and participate in on-call rotations for edge platforms.
  • Collaborate with application development, infrastructure, observability, store operations, and engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or related technology roles.
  • 3+ years of experience delivering and supporting large-scale distributed systems using reliability and resiliency concepts.
  • 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript.
  • 2+ years of experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Rancher, and containerized workloads.
  • Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitLab, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using Shell, Python, PowerShell, or equivalent technologies.
  • Experience with microservices-based and cloud-native architectures, incident management, problem management, change management, and ITIL-based practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include retail, pharmacy, healthcare, or edge-computing experience; SLO, SLA, and error-budget expertise; distributed tracing knowledge; platform modernization experience; and relevant AWS, Kubernetes, Google SRE, or cloud certifications.
