Responsibilities
- Own the technical vision and strategy for the IES Contracts domain and lead delivery of solutions supporting the IES Mid-Market lead-to-cash process.
- Gather functional requirements, create technical specifications, and own project and test planning.
- Design and develop applications, prototypes, proofs of concept, and production code while remaining hands-on for a majority of the role.
- Lead architecture, technical design, coding, code reviews, and resolution of complex development and operational challenges.
- Define measurable project outcomes tied to business goals, including reducing lead-to-cash cycle time.
- Frame customer problems, validate solutions, influence roadmaps, and guide short- and long-term platform strategy.
- Build agentic workflows for automating tasks in the product development lifecycle and establish coding and agent best practices.
- Own end-to-end quality across development, quality engineering, and operations activities.
- Mentor engineers and new team members, provide actionable feedback, and improve the effectiveness of teams and cross-functional partners.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, business analysts, business partners, product lines, and business units.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience architecting and designing Oracle ERP and SaaS offerings and leading complex Finance applications.
- BTech or MTech in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- At least 70% of time spent on technical contributions, including design, coding, and code reviews, with approximately 50% on coding and code reviews.
- Expertise in software design and architecture, including Domain-Driven Design and hexagonal architecture.
- Experience with RESTful or GraphQL web services and technologies including Java, Spring Boot, DynamoDB, React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python, Camunda, AWS, Oracle SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Experience with unit testing, Test-Driven Development, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD.
- Experience using AI coding assistants and agentic workflows, including reviewing, guardrailing, and owning AI-generated code before release.
- Track record of solving highly complex technical challenges and delivering durable capabilities used across an organization.
- Experience leading across organizational, technological, and governance boundaries and defining interfaces between systems.
- Experience evaluating industry trends and recommending technologies to meet business goals or simplify processes.
- Experience with Agile Development, Scrum, or Extreme Programming methodologies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience leveraging, contributing to, or leading open-source community projects.
- Preferred experience with enterprise Finance products such as Oracle ERP, Coupa, or Aravo, plus functional knowledge of Finance, Payments, and Sourcing.
