Base Salary
$80k - $400k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership as a mentor, team lead, trusted client-facing technologist, and hands-on contributor.
- Contribute across all phases of software projects and the software development lifecycle.
- Define and apply software development, coding, testing, architectural, and best-practice standards.
- Build high-quality, scalable, production-ready services, web applications, mobile applications, and data pipelines.
- Design APIs, database schemas, constraints, transaction boundaries, and data-storage strategies.
- Identify and mediate technical debt and help evaluate new technologies, tools, and approaches.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience working in teams.
- Experience with Scrum, Kanban, or XP methodologies.
- Deep knowledge of Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python language and library/framework ecosystems.
- Experience defining and utilizing software development best practices, coding practices, testing practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with architectural patterns, technical debt management, scalable production software, APIs, data pipelines, web applications, or cross-platform mobile applications.
- Experience composing systems from smaller components and using approaches such as SOA, microservices, object-oriented design, or functional programming.
- Experience designing database schemas, constraints, transaction boundaries, and relational versus NoSQL data strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, business administration, or a related field.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Lambda, GitLab CI, Circle, Travis, CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform.
