Base Salary
$213k - $263k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop system software components from early prototyping through production launch of driverless vehicles.
- Develop and test Linux kernel device drivers and other low-level components for high-performance embedded systems.
- Create appropriate user-space APIs to communicate with custom ASICs, FPGAs, and other hardware.
- Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, and performance-focused system development.
- Collaborate with System Software and Linux Kernel Engineers, engineering teams, SoC partners, and direct consumers of the software.
- Address ambiguous problems involving custom compute hardware and autonomous-driving infrastructure.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in C and C++.
- At least 5 years of programming experience in asynchronous environments involving multiple processes, threads, timers, and interrupts.
- Experience with Linux kernel and device driver development.
- Working knowledge of hardware bring-up and debugging, including reading schematics and datasheets and using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
