Senior Fullstack Engineer

$230k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build multi-step medical intake engines, provider charting dashboards, and patient-facing applications that safely handle sensitive PHI
- Connect backend medication ordering and fulfillment pipelines to responsive frontend interfaces
- Design database schemas, write APIs, build React interfaces, deploy services, and own backend reliability and client-side production error tracking
- Integrate AI capabilities and agentic workflows into products to automate clinical operations and scale provider workflows
- Make pragmatic product and user-experience decisions that improve patient and provider outcomes
- Own architectural decisions, upgrade legacy code, and raise engineering standards through code review, testing, and technical practices
- Collaborate directly with clinical, operational, product, and engineering teams
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of full-stack engineering experience operating complex production systems
- Strong experience with complex client-side state, frontend performance, server-side rendering, client-side fetching, and caching strategies
- Expertise in data modeling, database schema design, and API boundaries
- Production ownership across deployment, reliability, and client-side error tracking; familiarity with or willingness to learn Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, and CI/CD
- Experience using frontier agentic tools such as Codex 5.3 and Claude Opus 4.6, with the ability to audit and verify their output
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in environments shaped by healthcare regulations, compliance, and patient safety
- Willingness to work onsite five days per week in San Francisco
- Staff-level candidates should have experience setting technical direction across teams, navigating ambiguity, and leveling up engineers
