Responsibilities
- Design and build self-serve, automated platforms for managing the lifecycle of more than 500 production-grade data resources across over 10 data-store types.
- Develop foundational engineering tools such as database proxies and database replication services.
- Execute complex projects including large-scale, zero-downtime database migrations.
- Work on distributed systems, technical architecture, protocol-level debugging, performance optimization, observability, cost, and operability at petabyte scale.
- Build multi-region architecture, sandbox environments, and a Terraform-based infrastructure-as-code platform.
- Develop core Python and Go libraries including middleware, ORMs, proxies, rate limiters, and shard routers.
- Own projects end to end from design and planning through rollout and operation.
Requirements
- Have 1–2 years of experience working with fast-growing, top-tier product companies.
- Demonstrate strong coding ability in one or more languages such as Java, Python, C++, or Go.
- Have expert understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design principles, and low-level design.
- Understand system design and complex distributed systems.
- Communicate clearly and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Be eager to learn new technologies and apply them to real-world problems.
- Open-source contributions, competitive coding experience, and a strong Computer Science background from a Tier 1 institution are preferred.
