Base Salary
$170k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and scale backend services for Parker’s financial products and APIs.
- Lead architectural decisions to ensure system performance and reliability.
- Build and maintain services in a cloud-native environment using Node.js and PostgreSQL.
- Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to create secure APIs and data models.
- Drive engineering excellence through code reviews and technical mentorship.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and improve system design and observability.
- Contribute to Parker’s technical roadmap and long-term engineering vision.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
- Proven experience in designing and maintaining scalable backend systems.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and Typescript or similar backend languages.
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with GraphQL, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architectures.
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
