Base Salary

$165k - $260k/yr

Responsibilities

Own products from concept through production, including architecture, implementation, testing, observability, deployment, and continuous improvement.
Design scalable AI-friendly software architectures using clean architecture and SOLID principles.
Build enterprise applications across frontend, backend, APIs, integrations, and cloud services.
Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate implementation, testing, documentation, code reviews, and releases.
Define contract-first APIs using OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, and strongly typed schemas.
Review and validate AI-generated code for maintainability, security, and architectural quality.
Create reusable prompts, AI skills, automation, and developer tooling that improve engineering productivity.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver customer value.
Provide technical leadership and maintain software quality, security, observability, scalability, and production readiness.

8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Deep expertise in clean architecture and SOLID design principles.
Strong full-stack engineering experience.
Experience designing distributed enterprise applications and contract-first APIs.
Hands-on experience with Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Codex, or similar AI-assisted development tools.
Experience building automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong understanding of observability, telemetry, and production operations.
Excellent communication and technical leadership skills.
Demonstrated ownership of software from design through production support.
Preferred: experience with AI agent orchestration, MCP servers, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, prompt engineering, OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, cloud-native architectures, microservices, event-driven systems, retail commerce, POS, payments, edge computing platforms, or Staff/Principal engineering leadership.

Competitive annual base salary of $165,000-$260,000.
Eligible for performance-based bonus plans, including up to 18% and a separately stated discretionary plan of up to 8%.
