Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software for robotic data collection and embodied AI systems.
- Build pipelines for multimodal sensor-data synchronization, storage, processing, and quality checks.
- Develop and deploy teleoperation and imitation-learning systems on robotic platforms.
- Integrate robotic arms, cameras, depth cameras, IMUs, force/torque sensors, and other hardware with software systems.
- Develop software interfaces and communication protocols between robotic components.
- Perform coordinate alignment, anomaly detection, troubleshooting, and hands-on debugging in laboratory and on-site environments.
- Deploy and optimize AI models on robotic and edge platforms.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system reliability, data-collection efficiency, and model performance.
- Create technical documentation for systems and deployment processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in Software Engineering, Robotics, Automation, or a similar field.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C++.
- Strong experience with Linux development and debugging.
- Experience with robotic arms and their control interfaces, drivers, kinematics, or APIs.
- Experience integrating cameras, depth cameras, IMUs, force/torque sensors, or similar sensors.
- Familiarity with CAN, EtherCAT, RS485, or USB communication protocols.
- Experience with PyTorch or other deep learning frameworks is preferred.
- Experience deploying software or AI models on robotic or edge platforms is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and hands-on debugging skills.
- Experience with ROS/ROS2, DDS, or similar robotics middleware is preferred.
- Experience with imitation learning, teleoperation, embodied AI, Diffusion Policy, ACT, VLA, or similar approaches is preferred.
- Familiarity with ROS bag, HDF5, or LeRobot Dataset formats is preferred.
- Experience with VIVE Tracker, OptiTrack, motion-capture gloves, video processing, H.264/H.265, or NVIDIA Jetson is preferred.
- Experience using Cursor or Claude Code is preferred.
- Strong English reading and writing skills for technical documentation and research papers.
