Responsibilities
- Design and build self-service platform services such as messaging and observability services.
- Automate platform provisioning, scaling, and lifecycle operations using infrastructure-as-code and GitOps workflows.
- Implement observability, monitoring, and alerting systems for platform services to meet service-level objectives.
- Integrate security controls and compliance requirements with security teams.
- Improve platform usability, developer onboarding, and operational efficiency for application teams.
- Respond to incidents, conduct post-incident reviews, and drive continuous operational improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define platform service requirements.
Requirements
- Background in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong programming or scripting experience with technologies such as HCL, YAML, JavaScript, Python, or Bash.
- Understanding of Linux systems, containers, networking fundamentals, and distributed system operations.
- At least 1–3 years of hands-on experience operating cloud services in production.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
- Experience implementing observability and monitoring for large-scale platforms.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes security concepts, GitOps deployment tools, observability stacks, networking protocols, and reliability engineering practices.
