Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate ROS2-based autonomy software for active safety, advanced driver assistance, and unmanned ground vehicle systems.
- Implement software architecture, motion planning, computer vision, sensor processing, graphical user interfaces, and inter-process messaging.
- Write high-quality maintainable C++ code and develop software unit and regression tests.
- Support field testing, hardware selection, engineering calculations, investigations, analysis, and design activities.
- Write requirements and design documentation and support project plans, reports, suppliers, and other departments.
- Travel to off-site locations as necessary to support assigned engineering programs.
Requirements
- Accredited bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field with three or more years of related experience.
- Ability to produce high-quality, maintainable C++ code.
- Proficiency in ROS2-based software development.
- Familiarity with Ubuntu 22.04 or later and distributed systems.
- Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering, plus familiarity with Python and SQL databases.
- The role may require acting as a lead worker and occasional travel to off-site locations.
