Base Salary
$176k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design molecules for active biologics programs in partnership with domain scientists.
- Develop reasoning capabilities and orchestrate computational design workflows for drug discovery.
- Design and maintain benchmarks and evaluation infrastructure for biologics design workflows.
- Own reproducibility, throughput, and inference-cost operations for computational design systems.
- Translate domain-scientist judgment into machine learning objectives and evaluation criteria.
- Connect specialist protein design models to the broader autonomous science platform.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in computer science, machine learning, computational biology, biophysics, bioengineering, or a similar quantitative field.
- Strong software engineering and system design fundamentals.
- Expertise in evaluation and dataset design, including benchmark leakage and downstream validation quality.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills.
- Domain expertise in protein sequence, structure, and function.
- Preferred experience with reasoning models, agents, planning systems, or multi-step ML orchestration.
- Preferred experience designing antibodies, nanobodies, enzymes, peptides, or other therapeutic proteins in design-test-learn loops.
- Preferred experience developing evaluation harnesses, model registries, or benchmark suites.
- Preferred experience training or serving models at scale, including distributed training, GPU efficiency, or high-throughput inference.
- Publications, open-source contributions, or applied research outputs in AI for Science are a plus.
