Responsibilities
- Contribute to the evolution of Five9’s modern SaaS platform.
- Design, develop, and maintain highly available, scalable microservices.
- Focus on API Gateway architecture and API Developer Portal enhancements.
- Implement and manage API Gateway policies and authentication flows.
- Ensure APIs are secure, well-documented, and easily consumable.
- Monitor API performance and optimize system efficiency.
- Stay current with industry best practices in API management.
- Troubleshoot critical issues and provide production support.
- Collaborate with platform engineering, product teams, and architects.
- Apply problem-solving abilities to resolve complex platform challenges.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on software development experience.
- Strong expertise in API Gateway technologies, specifically APIGEE.
- Experience in API development using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Proven experience building and maintaining API Developer Portals.
- Strong understanding of API security frameworks and standards.
- Experience with OAuth2 and identity systems.
- Practical knowledge of GCP or another major cloud provider.
- Strong debugging skills for complex system interactions.
- Experience supporting production systems and participating in on-call rotations.
- Excellent communication skills in a collaborative engineering culture.
