Responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment.
- Develop clean, testable, scalable systems using Java, Kotlin, and other technologies.
- Build intuitive and well-tested APIs for data manipulation and retrieval.
- Optimize for performance and scalability.
- Drive technical projects to success in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Deprecate and remove functionality and services that no longer suit our needs.
- Identify architectural improvements for rapid growth in traffic and order volumes.
- Work with business stakeholders to identify software solutions to business challenges.
- Assist in prioritization efforts and provide mentorship to others.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Computer Science or a related degree, or 4+ years of practical experience.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Kotlin, SpringBoot, RabbitMQ, MySQL, and MongoDB.
- Experience with ReactJS and Next.js for front-end development.
- Enthusiasm for testing, test-driven development, and building reliable systems.
- Strong command of best practices, design patterns, and system architecture tradeoffs.
- Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with an existing codebase and toolset.
- Experience with distributed system performance analysis and optimization.
- Ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions effectively.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and making tradeoffs without compromising quality.
