Base Salary
$158k - $237k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build large-scale, fault-tolerant distributed software systems that can scale indefinitely.
- Design and develop Disaster Recovery as a Service solutions for on-premises and major cloud platforms.
- Implement Scala/Java data-management jobs for backup and recovery of virtual machines in virtualized enterprise infrastructure.
- Design and implement admin-facing UIs and APIs integrating with third-party and customer applications.
- Conduct code reviews focused on interface design, code quality, and testing strategies.
- Solve scalability and stability problems affecting high-scale products and analyze and prioritize defects.
- Respond to critical issues in SaaS product offerings and resolve build and test infrastructure problems.
- Create robust monitoring, metrics, and automation solutions.
- Partner with product teams to understand customer requirements and ensure effective feature delivery.
- Lead projects and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building large-scale distributed systems.
- Deep understanding of distributed and cloud architecture, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Strong code review and testing practices.
- Proven experience with data structures, software design, and systems analysis.
- Preferred: proficiency in one or more of Go, Scala, and Python.
- Preferred: experience with Bazel, Git, and GitHub.
- Preferred: experience establishing or maintaining automated build systems.
