Base Salary
$218k - $287k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical strategy for mobile QA infrastructure across Coinbase’s native mobile rewrite.
- Build and scale automated regression, performance-validation, and release-readiness test systems.
- Lead QA readiness for phased rollouts, including success metrics, resourcing, operations, and quality gates.
- Define SLOs and quality dashboards with engineering, product, and design partners.
- Set testing investment strategy and determine which regression activities should be automated versus manual.
- Shape QA onboarding, establish QA contributor standards, and mentor L3-L5 engineers in test architecture, native debugging, and quality practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in mobile test infrastructure.
- Experience architecting automated regression systems for native iOS and Android at scale.
- Track record of defining and delivering test infrastructure strategies used by multiple engineering teams.
- Strong proficiency in Swift and Kotlin, including test framework architecture, native debugging, and compile-time quality constraints.
- Experience operating QA processes during large-scale migrations or platform transitions, including dual-codebase validation, phased rollout gates, SEVs, and postmortems.
- Ability to align cross-functional partners on quality standards, testing strategy, and release criteria.
- Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight and measurable workflow, cost, and quality improvements.
