Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive HTML email templates, dynamic content blocks, and reusable Content Builder assets.
- Architect and configure multi-channel journeys, automation workflows, data extensions, and audience segmentation in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Develop and manage MobilePush campaigns, including personalization, in-app messaging, deep linking, and behavioral triggers.
- Build and maintain analytics reporting, dashboards, custom SQL queries, and performance insights using Salesforce Marketing Cloud Intelligence and Email Studio tracking.
- Develop and maintain Salesforce Marketing Cloud integrations with other systems and collaborate with IT on data extension issues.
- Conduct quality assurance and debug campaigns across email clients, mobile devices, journey conditions, and deployment workflows.
- Troubleshoot deliverability, sender reputation, bounce management, suppression lists, automation failures, and mobile push issues.
- Collaborate with marketing, admissions, IT, designers, developers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and execute campaigns.
- Ensure campaigns comply with CAN-SPAM, TCPA, institutional policies, applicable laws, and accessibility requirements.
- May participate in personnel planning, interviewing, staff counseling, performance evaluation, training, and mentorship.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, web development, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of email development experience.
- Advanced HTML, CSS, and JavaScript knowledge, with proficiency in AMPscript and Server-Side JavaScript.
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud products including Email Studio, Mobile Studio, MobilePush, SMS, Automation Studio, Content Builder, Journey Builder, Contact Builder, Intelligence/Datorama, and Advertising Studio.
- Experience developing mobile push notifications involving segmentation, personalization, deep linking, and behavioral triggers.
- Strong knowledge of HTML email development best practices, testing platforms, email template management, and data list management.
- Strong visual design, problem-solving, troubleshooting, organizational, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Knowledge of call center integration and email and text messaging programs.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications are preferred, including Email Specialist, Developer, Consultant, or Administrator; additional Salesforce CRM certifications are a plus.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite 5, Photoshop, and Illustrator is preferred.
- Experience with highly regulated industries is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, communicate with associates at all levels, adapt to change, and understand strategic objectives.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and presentation skills.
