Base Salary

$126k - $264k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Implement and productionize machine learning models and transform prototypes into production-ready systems.
  • Scale models, clean model code, and ensure production quality and deployment readiness.
  • Automate ML workflows from data extraction, transformation, and loading through model deployment and monitoring.
  • Create infrastructure, frameworks, metrics, tools, platforms, environments, and internal services for model monitoring and operations.
  • Monitor deployed model performance, troubleshoot ML infrastructure and workflows, and develop durable solutions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Evaluate and mitigate data quality, bias, fairness, security, and privacy issues affecting modeling.
  • Prepare data through cleaning, preprocessing, and feature identification for model training.
  • Integrate ML models into new and existing systems and coordinate with data scientists, software developers, product, operations, and release stakeholders.
  • Write, maintain, test, review, document, and deploy efficient code using version control and code review practices.
  • Coordinate moderately complex projects, prioritize work across projects, and provide technical oversight.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members and participate in candidate interviews and hiring recommendations.

Requirements

  • Machine learning and software development expertise sufficient to implement, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot production ML models.
  • Experience developing ML infrastructure, automated workflows, model monitoring, internal tools, platforms, and services.
  • Ability to address model performance, scalability, stability, maintenance, data quality, security, and privacy considerations.
  • Ability to develop efficient code from scratch and maintain existing codebases with testing, documentation, version control, code review, and deployment practices.
  • Familiarity with current machine learning developments and third-party ML frameworks, packages, and libraries.
  • Ability to coordinate moderately complex initiatives, provide technical oversight, solve complex problems, collaborate across teams, and mentor junior members.
