Responsibilities
- Define the end-to-end software architecture for a new 64-bit RISC-V multi-processor SoC, meeting real-time, performance, reliability, and security objectives.
- Establish coding standards, architectural guidelines, requirements management practices, and end-to-end traceability aligned with aerospace, defense, and automotive expectations.
- Lead architecture and technical review forums while mentoring engineering teams and guiding consistent design practices.
- Oversee software design, implementation, verification evidence, and objective lifecycle records in Jira and related lifecycle tools.
- Represent the architecture in customer discussions and partner with Marketing and Applications teams on product roadmap and customer success.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Software Architect for high-reliability embedded systems, including architecting platforms from scratch.
- Background in avionics or automotive development with deep knowledge of requirements traceability and evidence-based delivery.
- Strong expertise in RTOS, multiprocessor architectures, and low-level programming using C, C++, and Python.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineering teams and communicate complex technical concepts to customers.
- Familiarity with DO-178C/ED-12C or ISO 26262/ASPICE is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with RISC-V architectures, embedded Linux, mixed-workload systems, systems engineering, and hardware/software co-development is preferred.
- Openness to using AI-assisted development tools is preferred.
