Responsibilities
- Support production of the on-board software Requirements Baseline.
- Produce the on-board software Technical Specification.
- Design spacecraft on-board software.
- Perform unit and integration testing of the on-board software.
- Conduct validation testing against the Technical Specification using test equipment and simulation models.
- Support validation against the Requirements Baseline.
- Interface with customers and suppliers and cooperate with project management, industrial engineering, manufacturing, and marketing and sales departments.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent background.
- Knowledge of the ECSS-E-ST-40C and ECSS-Q-ST-80C ESA standards.
- Knowledge of multi-core processors and hypervisors, preferably PikeOS and XtratuM.
- Preferred experience designing, developing, and debugging hard real-time software applications.
- Experience programming with C and/or Ada 95.
- Experience with software requirements management.
- Knowledge of UML for software design management, preferably using Rhapsody for C/Ada.
- Knowledge of software quality metrics monitoring and experience using Logiscope and Understand for C/Ada or equivalent tools.
- Organized, methodical, communicative, autonomous, and collaborative working approach.
- Ability to achieve results within time and cost constraints and solve problems effectively.
- Good written and spoken English.
