Responsibilities
- Analyze user stories and develop secure, maintainable Java code using Spring frameworks.
- Participate in design discussions, peer code reviews, integration testing, and Agile ceremonies.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and AWS cloud-based deployments.
- Monitor and debug production systems using Prometheus and OpenSearch.
- Partner with QA on validation and test planning.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for production systems.
- Stay current with technologies, frameworks, and software development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1–2 years of Java development experience, including Java 1.8+ and Spring REST, MVC, and Security.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud environments.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Familiarity with REST API design and consumption patterns.
- Proficiency with Bitbucket and Git workflows, branching strategies, and merge conflict resolution.
- Experience with IntelliJ IDEA or Visual Studio Code and Maven or Gradle.
- Understanding of secure coding and application security fundamentals.
- Strong debugging skills and experience with logs and monitoring tools.
- SQL and relational database fundamentals.
- Strong verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Curiosity, a growth-oriented mindset, and willingness to use AI-powered developer assistants such as Copilot or Claude.
