Base Salary
$180k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop machine learning infrastructure.
- Own and enhance offline and online model training systems, model pipeline health monitoring, model serving, feature authoring, and feature serving.
- Proactively address machine learning infrastructure issues that may affect production.
- Collaborate with machine learning engineers to build robust model pipelines.
- Improve training speed and reliability, model serving performance, feature and embedding consistency, latency, cost, and developer experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s or PhD in a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience delivering production systems supporting machine learning use cases, including training or serving.
- Proven experience building and maintaining large-scale distributed backend systems.
- Proficiency in Python and strong understanding of object-oriented languages such as C++ or Java.
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Preferred: experience leading cross-team projects from design through stable rollout.
- Preferred: experience iterating on machine learning models and shipping them to production.
