Responsibilities
- Develop and operate backend services in the Inventory domain.
- Contribute to projects that influence how inventory is managed at Zalando.
- Collaborate on product strategy, roadmaps, and backlogs in alignment with business goals.
- Work with stakeholders and engineering peers to develop scalable solutions and manage the product development lifecycle from discovery through execution.
- Contribute to team processes and promote an inclusive, diverse team environment.
Requirements
- Proficiency in a Java-based language such as Kotlin and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Knowledge of PHP is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQLite, or Presto/Trino is a plus.
- Basic understanding of maintaining and operating complex systems at scale, including monitoring and alerting best practices.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Curiosity about improving simulation accuracy and efficiency and exploring new techniques or research initiatives.
