Base Salary

$125k - $175k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and contribute to enterprise Data Asset Protection platforms aligned with technology and operational risk objectives.
  • Translate regulatory, audit, and risk requirements into scalable engineering solutions and automated controls.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain Python and PowerShell services, DevOps pipelines, and platform tooling.
  • Contribute to access controls, entitlement governance, policy-as-code, automation frameworks, and data protection platform architecture.
  • Implement control monitoring, audit telemetry, and evidence generation within platforms and delivery pipelines.
  • Use analytics, metrics, and dashboards to identify trends, risk signals, and control effectiveness improvements.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical discussions for complex and high-risk initiatives.
  • Manage platform improvement roadmaps, goals, priorities, and complex vendor relationships.
  • Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Audit, and Engineering stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering.
  • Experience serving as a technical implementation lead from production through deployment.
  • Experience with data protection technologies, Varonis Platform Architecture, Active Directory, and Zero Trust architecture.
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles and tools including AWS Security Hub, Microsoft Azure Security Center, and Google Cloud Security Command Center.
  • Experience or exposure to data analytics tools and techniques including SQL and Splunk.
  • Experience with file and folder permissions, Active Directory, and enterprise security tools.
  • Experience with Python frameworks, data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell script development.
  • Understanding of DevOps principles, source control, containerization, and orchestration tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience managing complex vendor relationships and defining platform roadmaps, goals, and priorities.
  • Understanding of data protection regulations and standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Kanban, and Scrum practices.
