Base Salary
$180k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction and evolution of Zocdoc’s marketplace acquisition platform, prioritizing stability, scalability, performance, SEO, and user experience.
- Build scalable APIs and microservices that provide fast, reliable access to patient-facing data.
- Develop and improve React-based provider profile, practice page, and other patient-facing experiences.
- Integrate third-party data sources and content management systems such as Contentful.
- Lead AI innovation initiatives and use large language model systems to create intelligent and personalized features.
- Mentor engineers and drive coding standards, testing, automation, observability, performance optimization, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Design, Product, and Marketing on strategy, execution, and measurable business impact.
Requirements
- Experience owning and evolving complex, user-facing platforms end-to-end while balancing rapid delivery with long-term technical vision.
- Experience designing performant systems where search engine optimization and page speed are top priorities.
- Experience architecting full-stack solutions across backend APIs, AWS-based infrastructure, and React systems.
- Experience integrating third-party data sources and content management systems, including Contentful.
- Experience leveraging large language model systems to transform user data into actionable insights and personalized features.
- Strong engineering practices covering testing, CI/CD, observability, system performance, and maintainability.
- Experience mentoring and collaborating across distributed teams and promoting strong technical foundations and inclusive engineering culture.
