
Software Engineer, Fan Engagement
Genius SportsResponsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain high-quality, reliable software features and components.
- Produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented code aligned with team standards.
- Participate in system and component design discussions.
- Debug and resolve issues across the stack with guidance as needed.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver user-centered solutions.
- Contribute to code reviews and incorporate constructive feedback.
- Identify opportunities to improve code quality, performance, and team development practices.
- Communicate progress, blockers, and trade-offs clearly.
Requirements
- Experience developing professional web applications and familiarity with modern development frameworks.
- Understanding of software development fundamentals, including data structures, APIs, testing, and version control.
- Ability to work independently on defined tasks while seeking input when needed.
- Comfort collaborating with cross-functional teammates and incorporating feedback.
- Problem-solving skills and willingness to learn and iterate.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Preferred experience with React, Node.js, Kotlin, or Spring.
- Preferred experience contributing to system or feature design.
- Preferred familiarity with debugging and performance optimization techniques.
- Preferred experience writing automated tests and working with CI/CD pipelines.
