Responsibilities

  • Lead embedded systems and software projects from concept through integration, validation, release, and product support.
  • Provide technical direction for architecture, design, implementation, and complex problem solving.
  • Translate customer and product needs into requirements, interfaces, technical solutions, and verification strategies.
  • Coordinate software, electronics, systems, verification, product engineering, and global teams while managing dependencies, risks, and technical issues.
  • Participate hands-on in design reviews, implementation, integration, testing, field activities, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
  • Mentor engineers, provide feedback, share knowledge, and strengthen team capability and ownership.
  • Use and validate AI-assisted workflows to improve engineering analysis, development, testing, reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Promote traceability, maintainability, automated verification, technical reviews, and continuous engineering improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in software engineering or complex software-intensive systems.
  • Experience leading technical projects, major product features, or engineering teams.
  • Experience with systems engineering, including requirements, architecture, interfaces, integration, and verification.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience involving software, hardware, systems, and test environments.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and influencing teams without formal authority.
  • Strong communication skills, advanced English proficiency, and effective collaboration with global and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity, make sound decisions, deliver with limited supervision, learn quickly, and work beyond the current area of expertise.
  • Preferred experience with C/C++, Python, RTOS, Linux, model-based development, or embedded communication technologies such as CAN, ISOBUS, Ethernet, or Bluetooth.
  • Preferred knowledge of ASPICE, V-Model, functional safety, ISO 25119, CI/CD, test automation, or requirements traceability.
  • Preferred hands-on experience with electronics debugging, Hardware-in-the-Loop systems, machine testing, field validation, AI assistants, automation, or agent-based engineering workflows.
  • Availability to travel approximately 15% of the time and work in Indaiatuba, São Paulo, Brazil.
