Base Salary
$230k - $385k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship polished, high-performance UI for ChatGPT Space and its collaborative workflows.
- Partner with design to turn prototypes into production-quality experiences across layout, typography, motion, and interaction details.
- Develop interfaces for creating and editing shared content, organizing project context, and reviewing contributions from teammates and AI.
- Own frontend architecture decisions involving component systems, state management, navigation, and rendering performance.
- Improve quality and reliability through testing, instrumentation, accessibility, and thoughtful loading, error, and concurrent-change UX.
- Collaborate with research, platform, backend, and model training partners to integrate model capabilities into creation, editing, and collaboration experiences.
Requirements
- Strong experience with modern frontend stacks such as React and TypeScript.
- High standards for UI craft, performance, responsiveness, usability, and interaction detail.
- Experience building rich, interactive product experiences.
- Ability to explore ambiguous problems and iterate rapidly with design and product.
- Ability to think through end-to-end workflows and make complex interactions clear and intuitive.
- Experience with collaborative applications, rich-text editors, real-time interfaces, or AI-powered products is a nice-to-have.
