Responsibilities
- Work on real, open-ended software engineering projects that directly contribute to Stoke Space’s launch vehicle programs.
- Contribute across software design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Build and improve web-based SaaS for advanced hardware manufacturing teams on Boltline.
- Develop control software for bench testers, environmental testers, engine test stands, and flight systems on Vehicle Software.
- Convert real-time and post-launch data into analysis and insights for launch-product design and operations.
- Manage a complex technical project through execution with mentorship and collaboration from experienced engineers.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a similar STEM field.
- Project-level experience with Python, C, or Rust.
- Exceptional command of engineering fundamentals and hands-on engineering experience through internships, personal projects, work, or teams.
- Ability to learn and apply state-of-the-art techniques to technical projects.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- For Boltline: proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and experience with front-end or back-end software development.
- For Vehicle Software: proficiency in Rust or another systems language such as C/C++, plus experience with real-time systems.
- For Data: proficiency in Rust and experience with front-end or back-end software development.
- U.S. work authorization or eligibility for required U.S. export-control authorizations under ITAR requirements.
- Successful completion of required reference and background checks and employment eligibility verification.
