Responsibilities
- Develop, test, document, improve, and maintain primarily Java software.
- Participate in project planning, design, implementation, and future iterations.
- Implement cloud-based distributed systems, APIs, and backend code.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Collaborate with software engineers, project and product managers, product designers, and other partners.
- Build, test, deploy, and release containerized applications on cloud-based Kubernetes platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional work experience.
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
- At least 1 year of experience implementing cloud-based distributed systems and APIs.
- At least 1 year of experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- At least 1 year of experience with Java.
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, software design patterns, and testable, maintainable, extensible backend code.
- Preferred: familiarity with CI/CD tools, Kubernetes cloud platforms, Java web frameworks, unit testing frameworks, tooling languages, distributed orchestration and computing systems, JVM internals, and networking concepts and protocols.
