Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, package, and deploy safety-critical medical software using C++, Qt, Python, and Linux.
- Contribute to software architecture, technical design, technology selection, debugging, performance optimization, and refactoring.
- Build automated CI/CD pipelines and write unit and integration tests.
- Integrate machine learning models into production software in collaboration with AI researchers.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, UX, Regulatory, medical imaging, and other multidisciplinary teams.
- Design software with cybersecurity, reliability, and regulatory compliance considerations.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for architecture, implementation, deployment, and maintenance.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code-review support to developers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience developing production-grade applications.
- Proficiency in C++ and working knowledge of Python.
- Proven experience with the Qt Framework, including GUI development, multithreading, Signals/Slots, and custom widgets.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and object-oriented design.
- Experience developing and deploying software with Linux.
- Experience with Docker, TeamCity or equivalent CI/CD platforms, and Git.
- Experience writing automated unit and integration tests, such as with GoogleTest.
- Strong debugging, performance optimization, refactoring, and collaborative development skills.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, Secure Boot, TPM, secure key management, and Linux system security.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts, work independently, collaborate across teams, and mentor others.
- Preferred: medical device software experience; IEC 62304 development processes; FDA or MDR submissions; ISO 13485 and ISO 14971; production AI/ML model deployment; and software verification, validation, audits, or regulatory compliance experience.
