Base Salary
$200k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and productionize scalable AI/machine learning models.
- Establish best practices in machine learning and set the direction for the machine learning platform.
- Develop frameworks, pipelines, libraries, utilities, and tools for processing large datasets for ML tasks.
- Collaborate with ML engineers and data scientists to troubleshoot and optimize ML pipelines.
- Work with product managers to gather requirements for machine learning models.
- Build a model deployment platform to simplify the implementation of new models.
- Create end-to-end reusable pipelines from data acquisition to model output delivery.
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists in deploying their models into production.
- Design and build ML engineering solutions that unlock new modeling capabilities.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in machine learning platform systems.
- Experience with autoscaling and load balancing.
- Solid understanding of distributed computing.
- Superb written and oral communication skills.
- Experience integrating AI/machine learning models in production.
- Strong background in shell or bash scripting.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as a service tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, ECR, and Sagemaker.
- Prior experience in production deployments on AWS services.
- Experience with Docker for development and deployments.
- Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals.
- Experience in writing data pipelines and machine learning libraries.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- Willingness to mentor junior ML engineers and data scientists.
- Comfortable in a high-growth, fast-paced, and agile environment.
