Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable Java application components aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Configure and maintain AppDynamics monitoring, dashboards, alerts, and performance reporting.
- Analyze application performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimization strategies.
- Develop and execute LoadRunner performance tests for workload validation and capacity planning.
- Troubleshoot application performance incidents with development and operations teams.
- Document performance baselines, runbooks, standard procedures, and tuning practices.
- Integrate performance testing into the software delivery lifecycle with quality engineering teams.
- Review Java application code for performance best practices and technical-debt reduction.
- Automate monitoring alerts and reporting to surface recurring issues with minimal manual intervention.
- Participate in incident reviews, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action planning.
- Translate non-functional requirements into performance goals and service-level indicators.
- Prepare performance reports and dashboards for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Follow organizational security, compliance, and quality policies.
Requirements
- Hands-on proficiency configuring AppDynamics, creating dashboards, and tuning alerts for multi-tier Java applications.
- Advanced Java knowledge including memory management, threading, and optimization for high-throughput systems.
- Experience using LoadRunner to design performance scenarios, interpret results, and recommend tuning strategies.
- Practical understanding of relational databases and query optimization.
- Experience with modern build and deployment pipelines and integrating performance checks into continuous delivery practices.
- Ability to work in a structured day-shift, office-based environment and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Strong communication and documentation skills for explaining complex performance findings.
- Preferred AppDynamics Certified Performance Analyst, Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer, or equivalent performance-testing certification.
