Responsibilities
- Own cross-pillar architectural integrity and interface coordination across the program.
- Design and stand up the DataCard governance framework, including schema design, distribution-statement methodology, and provenance lineage.
- Deploy and configure the ZenML multi-cloud orchestration stack.
- Design the taxonomy engine and sequestration controls architecture.
- Confirm the NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5 control split between the data-layer and infrastructure-layer scopes.
- Lead platform component run books and per-DataCard documentation.
- Coordinate DLP policy configuration, Databricks write-back schema, and the DataCard write-back path with engineering counterparts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience that may substitute on a 2-for-1 basis; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of total professional experience, including 6+ years in data architecture or platform engineering.
- Hands-on implementation experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, and MLflow.
- Experience with DataCards, provenance, lineage, distribution statement controls, and data governance frameworks.
- Experience with ZenML or equivalent orchestration tools such as Airflow or Prefect, with willingness to ramp up on ZenML.
- Working knowledge of IL4/IL5 boundary concepts, NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5, and DoD data classification requirements.
- Active Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility.
- Prior Innodata or annotation platform architecture experience, MLflow model governance and registry experience, ontology and taxonomy design experience, and DoD Directive 5230.24 implementation experience are preferred.
Benefits
- Expected hourly salary range is $70 to $75 per hour, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
- The role is structured around an intensive 20-week phase within a 24-week program.
