Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set the multi-year technical vision, architectural roadmap, and engineering strategy for backend backup infrastructure and partner integrations.
- Architect and build resilient, high-throughput, low-latency backend services, sync protocols, and ingestion pipelines for high media traffic.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Business Development, Partner Engineering, Mobile/Client, User Experience, and Security/Privacy teams.
- Establish operational excellence through monitoring, SLOs/SLAs, automated failover, and disaster recovery.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code and design reviews, and drive engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience programming in C++.
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Preferred: Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Preferred: Experience developing asynchronous, high-QPS backend microservices and RPC frameworks such as gRPC.
- Preferred: Experience with scalable database schema design, secondary indexes, query optimization, and high-contention transactions.
- Preferred: Experience collaborating with client teams or external OEM technical partners.
