Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production-grade PHP code for high-traffic digital media platforms.
- Create and modify WordPress plugins and themes, including building them from scratch.
- Manage and evolve multiple WordPress sites and their underlying system components.
- Design and implement architecture for large-scale initiatives from inception through production.
- Work with internal stakeholders to define and prioritize product development.
- Improve system performance and reliability, including addressing caching and load-balancing needs.
- Participate in planning, grooming, retrospectives, hackdays, and hackathons.
- Mentor team members through code reviews, architecture sessions, and pair programming.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of WordPress, PHP, and the Symfony framework.
- Experience creating and modifying WordPress plugins and themes.
- Experience managing several WordPress sites.
- Experience working with databases such as MySQL.
- Experience resolving cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Knowledge of systems such as caching and load balancers.
- Familiarity with JIRA.
- Ability to follow defined coding standards and work productively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in business English.
