Responsibilities
- Design and evolve large-scale Kubernetes infrastructure platforms for microservices, big data, and AI/LLM workloads.
- Optimize Kubernetes control-plane and data-plane performance, including pod lifecycle, resource orchestration, and throughput under high load.
- Build observability and performance analysis frameworks, define Kubernetes system-level SLOs, and lead production tuning initiatives.
- Develop unified node- and cluster-level resource management and scheduling systems for diverse compute resources.
- Standardize and optimize container runtime environments for workload isolation, reliability, and resource efficiency across heterogeneous environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with 3+ years of relevant industry experience; a Ph.D. with strong publication records may be an exception.
- Solid understanding of Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, high-performance networking systems, or large-scale software development.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language such as Python, Go, C++, Rust, or Java.
- Knowledge of big data or machine learning workflows in Kubernetes environments is preferred.
- Experience contributing to cloud-native open-source projects is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with containerized applications through internships, coursework, or personal projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, or distributed tracing systems is preferred.
