Responsibilities
- Deliver UI features using React and TypeScript in alignment with design-system, front-end engineering, and secure-coding standards.
- Implement GraphQL client integrations, including query and mutation design, caching, pagination, error handling, and performance optimization.
- Contribute to component architecture, state management, routing, failure handling, and maintainable technical documentation.
- Build and integrate independently deployable micro-frontend modules within a multi-team ecosystem.
- Support independent UI release cycles through versioning, automated quality gates, release-readiness checks, and rollback strategies where applicable.
- Drive quality through unit, component, and end-to-end testing, accessibility practices, performance optimization, and client-side monitoring.
- Apply SDLC, code review, linting, type-checking, CI/CD, and automated testing practices to reduce regressions and flaky tests.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for refactoring, feature work, debugging, testing, and documentation while validating outputs.
- Apply responsible AI practices, including sensitive-data handling, injection-aware UI patterns, timeouts, fallbacks, and graceful degradation.
- Partner with backend engineers and product stakeholders to deliver cohesive end-to-end experiences and proactively resolve defects, UX issues, and performance bottlenecks.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts plus 2+ years of applied experience, or equivalent experience.
- Strong hands-on React and TypeScript web application development experience, including component composition, hooks, and state management.
- Required experience with micro-frontends, independently deployable UI modules, runtime integration, and shared multi-team standards.
- Experience supporting independent application or UI release cycles with CI/CD-driven releases and disciplined change management.
- Experience with unit and component testing, such as Jest and React Testing Library, plus exposure to end-to-end testing with Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent.
- Understanding of front-end SDLC and CI/CD practices, including code review, automated quality checks, and release hygiene.
- Working knowledge of accessible and performant UI development, including WCAG awareness, semantic HTML, profiling, and bundle-performance considerations.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to validate outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI engineering, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, and resiliency expectations.
- Preferred experience includes design systems, GraphQL client ecosystems such as Apollo Client or Relay, typed-operation code generation, Next.js or other SSR frameworks, backend-for-frontend patterns, web observability, and improving test reliability and code quality.
