Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver safe, scalable, robust real-time software for mass-production autonomous vehicle systems.
- Analyze, optimize, and iterate on algorithms to improve efficiency and accuracy across the autonomous vehicle stack.
- Architect continuous-learning systems for deploying ML models, monitoring performance, and prioritizing improvements.
- Collaborate with platform, embedded, and AI teams on development, validation, and integration of ML-based perception, prediction, and planning.
- Work with sensor and compute vendors and customers to advance highway and urban autonomous driving capabilities.
- Stay current with high-performance computing, real-time systems, and AI-driven mobility technologies.
- Lead projects, mentor team members, and work autonomously in high-stakes environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Robotics; a Ph.D. is preferred.
- Strong backend programming skills in C++ and Python.
- Proven experience designing, developing, and deploying performant and/or real-time software systems.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, software architecture, and design patterns.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects, mentor team members, and operate autonomously.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Autonomous vehicle development, software/hardware integration, and ROS2 or other robotics middleware experience are preferred but not required.
- Experience with ML model deployment and monitoring, data pipeline management, model versioning, autonomous vehicle simulation tools such as CARLA, and real-world testing protocols is preferred.
