Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of system-level software for ASICs and related systems.
- Develop and maintain APIs, hardware abstraction layers, operating-system components, networking utilities, databases, development tools, diagnostic applications, and SDK components.
- Execute and document test plans, validation activities, debugging, troubleshooting, and test automation for assigned software components.
- Optimize software performance for ASICs in network-switching environments and support hardware/software integration with hardware design teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and development partners, communicate technical progress, and maintain technical documentation and SDK support materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Typically 2–4 years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, embedded systems, or a related technical field.
- Experience with software systems design and development using C, Rust, Go, and Python.
- Familiarity with real-time embedded operating systems, system-level software development, software testing, validation, debugging, and test automation tools and scripts.
- Understanding of hardware/software integration and experience supporting software functionality and performance in ASIC-based or embedded environments.
- Exposure to API development and hardware abstraction layer architectures is highly valued.
- Ability to review and validate AI-generated outputs for technical accuracy, software quality, and security compliance, along with strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
