Responsibilities
- Optimize datacenter and agentic AI software workloads on RISC-V platforms.
- Identify bottlenecks and improve throughput, latency, and efficiency through software, compiler, runtime, and hardware-aware optimizations.
- Bring up and tune runtimes, profile real-world applications, and investigate memory, concurrency, and CPU performance behavior.
- Use RISC-V Vector, Matrix, and custom instruction capabilities to accelerate workloads.
- Develop automated and AI-assisted workflows for profiling, coding, benchmarking, and optimization.
- Collaborate with compiler, runtime, systems software, hardware, and performance modeling teams to influence future CPU architecture.
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong experience in performance optimization, computer architecture, compilers, or systems software.
- Hands-on experience with runtime or compiler optimization, including systems such as OpenJDK/JIT, LLVM, GCC, V8, or Python.
- Strong understanding of CPU performance, memory hierarchies, concurrency, garbage collection, vector/SIMD optimization, and RISC-V architecture.
- Expertise with performance profiling and analysis tools such as Linux perf, runtime profilers, QEMU, tracing tools, and performance modeling environments.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, C/C++, and RISC-V assembly.
- Ability to work across multiple software layers and collaborate effectively with technical teams.
- Interest in agentic AI development workflows and AI-assisted performance optimization.
