Responsibilities
- Partner with account teams to define customer strategy and identify, close, and accelerate complex opportunities.
- Advise senior business and technical stakeholders and design end-to-end Stripe solutions aligned with customer objectives and roadmaps.
- Lead customer discovery, strategy engagements, executive briefings, presentations, workshops, readouts, and solution demos to secure technical wins.
- Develop transformation journeys, future-state architectures, and roadmaps involving deep third-party integrations.
- Conduct customer, industry, and competitor research to support business growth and act as the voice of the customer to Stripe leadership, product, and engineering teams.
- Expand Stripe adoption across existing accounts, global markets, and business units by introducing new capabilities and local payment methods.
- Participate in sales forecasting, Quarterly Business Reviews, and account and territory planning.
- Travel approximately 25% to meet users and collaborate internally.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in a similar customer-facing engineering role for a global software enterprise.
- At least 5 years of presales experience.
- Experience in payments, billing, invoicing, issuing, banking, or fintech.
- Demonstrated executive engagement, relationship-building, facilitation, customer discovery, and presentation skills.
- Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle and API architectures.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to operate independently in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment, take ownership, and drive change.
- Ability to travel according to business needs.
- Preferred qualifications include Media and Entertainment, Gaming, Retail, or Financial Services experience; consulting experience; and experience at a growth-stage internet or software company.
- Experience writing code in Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Java, or Go is a plus.
