Base Salary
$150k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build new APIs and trading products from problem research and architecture through production launch.
- Maintain and extend existing APIs with support for new chains, bridges, and customer-requested features.
- Keep APIs fast and reliable as traffic grows and participate in the on-call rotation.
- Investigate failed trades and stuck transfers using logs, traces, and onchain data, then resolve root causes.
- Work with product, legal, go-to-market, and customers to translate business and compliance needs into technical decisions.
- Write design documents and review teammates’ designs and pull requests.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of backend engineering experience, including at least 2 years in DeFi.
- Experience owning complex projects end to end as a Senior or Lead Engineer.
- Experience building and maintaining developer-facing APIs.
- Deep onchain knowledge, especially EVM transaction mechanics including calldata, contract interfaces, gas, and approvals.
- Strong system design experience for production-scale backend services.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical tradeoffs to non-engineers.
- Experience with cross-chain systems, bridging, or DEX aggregation is preferred.
- Experience with ecosystems outside EVM, such as Solana, is preferred.
- Experience with TypeScript and/or Rust is preferred.
