Base Salary
$140k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and integrations with enterprise wealth management platforms.
- Own features from specification through design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Write production-grade TypeScript with strong testing, observability, and operational discipline.
- Contribute to scalable, reliable, secure, and performant system design decisions.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate ambiguous problems into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, on-call rotations, and the development of engineering tooling and best practices.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience shipping backend systems to production.
- Strong TypeScript proficiency or deep experience with Java, Go, C#, Kotlin, or Rust plus the ability to ramp into TypeScript.
- Experience designing and operating systems at meaningful scale with real traffic, data volumes, and users.
- Knowledge of API design, relational and NoSQL databases, messaging and event-driven systems, caching, and concurrency.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; Docker or Kubernetes; and modern CI/CD workflows.
- Experience with logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, incident response, and supporting production systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to work independently in an ambiguous startup environment.
- Preferred qualifications include startup experience, fintech or regulated-environment experience, AI/ML infrastructure, LLM-powered product development, document processing, enterprise financial-platform integrations, and TypeScript ecosystem experience.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is listed as a bonus qualification.
