Responsibilities
- Assist with database schema design and documentation for an automation system supporting engineering test operations.
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
- Build basic API interfaces for data access and integration with engineering platforms and systems.
- Implement template parameter mapping and generation logic using templating frameworks.
- Support reporting and dashboard development for engineering and operational metrics.
- Perform data quality checks and validation across structured and unstructured data sources.
- Maintain documentation for pipelines, schemas, and workflows.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain clean, well-documented code.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Expected internship onboarding/start date is early 2027.
- Foundational knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
- Experience with Python for data handling and transformation; pandas or polars is a plus.
- Familiarity with REST API concepts, including consuming endpoints and mapping data.
- Basic understanding of ETL pipeline design and data ingestion workflows.
- Experience with templating frameworks or code generation tools.
- Ability to research and solve technical problems independently.
- Comfort working in a command-line environment, including remote access via SSH.
- Experience using Git for version control.
- Nice-to-have experience with dashboarding tools such as Grafana or Power BI, modern API integration frameworks, data orchestration tools, time-series databases or specialized data systems, and systems programming languages.
