Responsibilities
- Track advances in academia, industry, and open-source communities and contribute technical insights, software, and publications where appropriate.
- Own technical strategy and multi-quarter roadmaps for major Physical AI infrastructure areas.
- Lead architecture and delivery across multiple engineers and partner teams, defining system boundaries, interfaces, and cross-stack trade-offs.
- Define interfaces across data pipelines, simulation, training, evaluation, inference, and deployment while owning major platform components.
- Mentor engineers, develop technical leaders, and raise the engineering bar across the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software engineering, machine learning systems, robotics, or related industry experience.
- At least 3 years of experience as a tech lead.
- Deep expertise in at least one area such as robotic learning, AI training and inference infrastructure, or robotics data and simulation systems, with working knowledge of others.
- Experience taking technically complex systems from prototype through validation and production deployment.
- Strong communication, self-motivation, engineering judgment, and ability to work across research and engineering teams.
- Preferred qualifications include open-source contributions to projects such as Isaac Lab, Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, Cosmos, vLLM-Omni, SGLang Omni, or RLInf; experience with large-scale AI or robotics platforms or real-world robot systems; and publications at leading machine learning, systems, or robotics conferences.
